Yes, stop..............rather stop till you have found all the answers you need before you decide on a studio. Read ahead for 4 points to deem your session safe.
Most important, check to see if your boudoir photographer is legitimate. Do they have a "Google My Business" page? Do they have at least 20 reviews? What do the reviews say about them? Personally, this is the most important point to review.
Second, is the studio or photographer doing this session in a safe environment? Is it a dedicated studio space? A hotel? The photographer's house? All questions that should be asked before committing to a session.
Third would be to see if your photographer is accredited. Some associations and involvement or memberships require photographers to adhere to a level of professionalism and continuing education. Look to see if your photographer is a member of PPA (Professional Photographers of America) or state or local guilds. WPPI (Wedding and Portrait Professionals International). Other accreditations are being a CPP or certified photographer, Master Photographer through PPA. Also a member of AIBP.
Fourth is to ask questions. How much are you planning to spend and your budget should be known to the photographer. Also, is your photographer a man or woman and are you comfortable in front of them. How safe are your images in control of the photographer. Are they encrypted? Stored or deleted after the session?
A boudoir session is a great way to boost confidence and to make a girl feel great in their skin. There are many reasons to do these sessions, whatever your reason is, just stop and do some planing to make sure that your photographer is one you can trust to do an incredible job for you.
